Dr. Sergio also assured that the 88-year-old Francis was out of danger and was expected to proceed to the Vatican for a two months rest period. He however maintained that it would take a significant amount of time for him to regain a stable health condition

“One of the first things that happens is you lose your voice a little, it will take time for his voice to return as it was,” the Vatican based doctor said.

Francis took to His socials to show gratitude to millions of Catholics around the world for their dedication and perseverance in prayers towards His recovery. He also took the opportunity to pray for the restoration of peace in war torn countries.

“You have continued to pray for me with so much patience and perseverance: thank you so much! I also pray for you. Let us pray together for peace, especially in martyred Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo,” the Holy Father said via His socials.

Over the past weeks, Catholics worldwide have continued with prayers for Pope’s recovery including daily Holy Rosaries conducted by Cardinals, which significantly drew large number of faithful.
