The month of February happens to be one when four Bishops under the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops celebrate anniversaries of their episcopal ordination and installation to lead various Dioceses.
His Lordship Rt. Rev. Bishop Mark Kadima Wamukoya of the Catholic Diocese of Bungoma, celebrated three years since his colorful episcopal ordination, concentration and installation at St. Mary’s School Kibabii on 19th February 2022. A ceremony presided over by H.E Van Megen, the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya.
Bishop Kadima took over from Bishop Joseph Obanyi, who was appointed as the acting apostolic administrator of the diocese since 2018.

Celebrating his fourth episcopal anniversary this month is also Rt. Rev. Bishop Michael Otieno Odiwa. He was appointed the Bishop of Homabay by Pope Francis on 29th of November 2020 before being concentrated and installed on 9th of February 2021.
He took over from Bishop Philip Anyolo who at that time, had been appointed the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kisumu.
Also joining in the celebrations is Rt. Rev. Bishop Alfred Kipkoech Rotich of the Catholic Diocese of Kericho.

Bishop Rotich marks five years since his installation on 15th February 2020, a ceremony held at Kericho Teachers Training College. He was once Bishop for Military Ordinariate.
Closing the list of Bishops celebrating their anniversaries this month, is His Grace, Maurice Muhatia Makumba, the Catholic Archbishop of Kisumu Archdiocese.

Archbishop Muhatia is however, celebrating three years since his appointment to take charge of the Kisumu metropolitan. Before his appointment, he was the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese Nakuru.
He took over from Archbishop Philip Anyolo who had been appointed to serve Christians from the Archdiocese of Nairobi.
Even as these servants of God celebrate their vocational milestone, everyone is called to give thanks and praise for their gift, and also pray that God grants them wisdom, strength and grace so that they may always remain faithful shepherds.
